The experienced German midfielder completed a £14 million move to Old Trafford this afternoon.
Bastian international flew into Manchester over the weekend, underwent a medical on Sunday and has now penned personal terms.
The transfer marks a reunion with former Bayern boss Louis van Gaal at Old Trafford, with the Dutchman having been the driving force behind a deal for a player he helped turn into one of the world’s best central midfielders.
