Following the recent allegations and complains against the Nigerian Ports Authority on service delivery by ports users, the management of NPA has promised credible improvement.
This was disclosed by the Managing Director of the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA), Mallam Habibu Abdullahi at the Nigerian Maritime Expo(NIMAREX) held in Lagos, yesterday.
Habibu who noted that NPA as a major stakeholder in the maritime industry will employ new strategies at ensuring that Nigerian ports meets international standard.
According to him “NPA as a critical stakeholder is keen on finding new and better ways of improving service delivery to its stakeholders and efficiency of port operations across the country”, he said.
He however informed that the organisation is opened to new ideas from stakeholders and other individuals who wants to contribute to the new vision of the organisation.
Mallam Habibu also commended the effort of the NIMAREX 2014 organisers especially on its review of the 100years of maritime development in Nigeria.
Adding that, NIMAREX has become a rallying point for maritime development experts and practitioners seeking ways of harnessing the rich potentials of the sector.
