Adaeze Eluke, a popular Nollywood actress, recently defended the practice of reserving seats for celebrities and important dignitaries in churches. She responded to a tweet by a young lady who criticized churches for doing so, claiming it was unfair to those who made an effort to come early and sit in the front rows.
Adaeze disagreed with the lady’s statement and argued that it is perfectly acceptable for churches to reserve seats for celebrities and dignitaries. She compared it to important occasions like weddings, where only important people are usually given seats on the high table or front row. Adaeze believes that the church should operate in the same way, and anyone who is not comfortable with it can choose to come later or not at all.
