Popular Nollywood actress Biola Adebayo has officially announced her separation from husband Oluwaseyi Akinrinde, a revelation that has stirred emotional responses online.
The couple, who got married in a court ceremony at the Ikoyi Registry on April 27, 2021, parted ways in April 2024. In a heartfelt Instagram post, Biola revealed they’ve chosen to co-parent their son amicably despite the end of their marriage.
While she didn’t disclose the reasons behind their breakup, the actress shared that the past 14 months had been emotionally draining, often crying herself to sleep, and that she leaned heavily on her Christian faith for strength.
In her touching message, she wished her ex-husband a happy birthday and offered prayers for his future:
