Femi Ogunrombi, a veteran Nigerian comic actor best known for his role in Wale Adenuga Productions’ Papa Ajasco, has died.
Husseini Shuabi, a theatre practitioner, announced the actor’s death on Sunday, January 15, in a post shared on the micro-blogging platform.
“I have just been reliably informed that the ethnomusicologist, former Music Instructor with @NATIONALTROUPE and one-time stand in for the ‘Papa Ajasco’ character on the popular @waleadenugaprod Comic Series ‘Papa Ajasco’ Mr. Femi Ogunrombi is DEAD!”

Ogunrombi took over the role of Papa Ajasco after former actor Abiodun Ayoyinka dropped out of the comedy series.
