A viral interaction between German TikTok sensation Noel Robinson and Nigerian content creator Peller has ignited discussions online.
The conversation centered around Rema’s global hit, “Calm Down”, and Noel Robinson’s role in amplifying the song’s global reach through his viral dance content.
During the exchange, Peller asked Noel whether Rema had acknowledged or compensated him for helping promote the track. In response, Noel revealed that he had tried to contact Rema but never received a reply.
“I danced to ‘Calm Down,’ but Rema never responded. I messaged him, but he didn’t reply,” Noel shared.
Peller, however, encouraged him by expressing confidence that Rema would eventually reach out.
To recap, Rema dropped “Calm Down” on February 11, 2022, as the second single off his debut album “Rave & Roses.” The song quickly soared to international success, topping several European charts including the Belgian Ultratop 50, Dutch Top 40, and Dutch Single Top 100.
Its popularity skyrocketed even further after the August 25, 2022 remix featuring Selena Gomez, which claimed the number one spot on the Billboard US Afrobeats Songs and Global Excl. US charts.
