The Presidents, General Secretaries, and Treasurers of the NLC’s affiliates were informed in a meeting notice dated September 22, 2023 that “Your attendance (at the meeting) will be of utmost importance.”

In an interview with Punch, Kolapo Olatunde, the chairman of the NLC in Ekiti State, said that if the NEC decided to call a strike, workers in the state would take part totally.
The NLC NEC’s decision supersedes all other decisions, according to Olatunde. We are left with no choice if the NEC decides that a strike is necessary.
“We will also convene at the State Executive Council level to make a decision, but the NEC’s decision is final.
