Popular Nigerian singer Niniola Apata has denied rumours claiming she is secretly married.
Speculations had surfaced online suggesting that the “Maradona” crooner’s reduced public appearances were due to her alleged quiet marriage.
Niniola addresses secret marriage rumours
In a recent interview with Yanga FM Lagos, Niniola cleared the air, stating that she is not married.
She explained that her time away from the spotlight had nothing to do with marriage, countering the assumptions made by fans.
The singer also dismissed talk that she was concealing a supposed marriage to protect her music career or avoid losing show bookings, emphasizing that there was no truth to such reports.
Niniola reiterated her commitment to music and upcoming projects, assuring fans of her return to the stage soon.
Her words:
“I don’t care whatever anyone does or says [regarding my personal life]. After all, I’m not a 12-year-old. I’m old enough to say whatever it is I want to say with my full chest. I’m not married.”
On collaborating with sister, Teni
When asked about working with her younger sister, Teni, Niniola said their collaboration will happen when the timing and conditions align perfectly.
She acknowledged that fans have been eagerly awaiting a joint track from the Apata sisters, but reminded that music is a business that requires proper planning, not sentiment.
According to the “Designer” singer, both she and Teni will release a collaboration that truly satisfies fans when the time is right.
