The Super Eagles of Nigeria in a game decided this evening were defeated national team by Sudan 1-0 in a 2015 African nations cup qualifying match.
The loss puts Nigeria, the winners of the last nations cup in a difficult chance to qualify for the tournament holding in Morocco.
The Eagles are now last in their group after suffering a shock loss at home to Congo and a goalless draw with South Africa.
South Africa is on top with seven points following their impressive 2-0 away win over Congo. Congo is second with six points courtesy of wins over Sudan and Nigeria.
Sudan will be in Nigeria on Wednesday for the reverse fixture, while Congo will travel to South Africa.
