A group of Nigerian youths recently stormed a GTBank branch in Abuja to protest the reported arrest of controversial activist, Verydarkman.

According to circulating reports, the activist was allegedly taken into custody shortly after visiting the bank, sparking outrage among his supporters. Although no official statement has been released by any government agency confirming his detention, protesters took to the streets holding placards and chanting “Free VDM.”

Videos from the scene show a passionate crowd gathered outside the bank, demanding answers and calling for the activist’s release.

@__pre_cie commented: “You guys are funny. Go to the EFCC office where he’s being held—why protest at GTBank?”
@martha.onche.3 added: “Jobless people. Is VDM inside GTBank?”
@mt_daddykhalid wrote: “This proves 99% of Nigerian youths are jobless. People with real responsibilities wouldn’t leave home to protest for someone they barely know.”
@dahbootee07 shared: “Even after seeing the video proving he wasn’t arrested inside the bank, you still went to protest there? What do you expect GTBank to do—lead a march to the EFCC?”
