Shola Ameobi scored his first English Premier League goal in his side’s 2-1 defeat against Swansea on Saturday evening. Ameobi put Alan Pardew’s men ahead with his 23rd minute strike before bowing to a brace from Cote d’Ivoire striker Wilfried Bony. The lanky forward received a pass from De Jong in the box, turned and rolled it past goalkeeper Michel Vorm who was impressive for the visitors. He has made 23 appearances for the Magpies this season.
Peter Odemwingie was on from start to finish as Stoke City played a 1-1 draw away at Cardiff City on Saturday evening. The former West Brom forward masterminded his side’s goal after he was fouled by Kim Bo-Kyung in the penalty area of the Welsh club with Marko Arnautovic converting the resulting penalty kick. Odemwingie has featured 11 times for the Potters this season with five goals to his name.
Victor Moses was a second half substitute for Liverpool in their 3-2 win against Norwich City at Carrow Road. A brace from Raheem Sterling and one from Luis Suarez ensured the Reds got three points off the Yellow Canaries as they remained atop the English Premier League log. Moses who replaced Phillipe Coutinho in the 76th minute has played 18 times for Brendan Rodgers’ men this season.
Mikel Obi was an unused substitute in Chelsea’s 2-1 shock home defeat against Sunderland. Samuel Eto’o had put the Blues ahead in the opening minutes of the first half before the visitors rallied to sting the hosts to thwart their unbeaten home run in the English Premier League. Obi has featured for Mourinho’s side 22 times in the English Premier League this season.
Kenneth Omeruo was on parade for Middlesbrough as they bowed 2-1 to Millwall at the Riverside which dented a big blow to Aitor Karanka’s side push for a English Premier League play-off spot. The Nigerian has made nine starts for the Championship side since his loan move from Chelsea.

Vincent Enyeamawas on for 90 minutes as OSC Lille forced Olympic Marseille to a 0-0 draw in Sunday’s Ligue 1 encounter. Enyeama has not missed a league game for Lille since his return from Israel, playing 34 times and conceding 19 goals in the process.
Elderson Echiejile did not feature for AS Monaco as they won 1-0 at Nice courtesy of Dimitar Berbatov’s fifth minute strike. Echiejile who has made just two appearances for Les Rouges last featured in his side’s 1-0 defeat at Evian Thonon Gaillard.

Chinedu Obasi was in action for 56 minutes in his side’s 3-1 defeat at Stuttgart on Sunday evening. He was replaced in the second half by Adam Szalai who got his side’s consolation goal in the 69th minute. Obasi has played 12 times for the Royal Blues this season with two goals to show for it.

Emmanuel Emenike could not find the back of the net as Fenerbahce forced Besiktas to a 1-1 draw in the top of the table clash in Turkey. Emenike has made 26 starts this season put 12 goals to his credit.
Godfrey Oboabona saw 90 minutes of action as his side, Rizespor secured a 3-1 home win against Konyaspor on Sunday . Strikes from Ousmane Viera, Uemit Korkmaz and Lomana LuaLua ensured his team’s ninth win of the season out of 33 matches played. The former Sunshine Stars skipper has played 15 league games this season.

Ramon Azeez was on from start to finish as Almeria suffered a 4-2 defeat at home to deepen their relegation woes. The one cap Super Eagles midfielder has featured 26times this season with a goal to show for it.
Odion Ighalo was a second half substitute as Granada were spanked 4-0 at Sevilla with goals from Stephane M’Bia, Kevin Gameiro, Vitolo and an own goal by Diego Mainz ensuring they returned home empty-handed. The former Flying Eagles captain replaced Piti in the 74th minute. Ighalo has featured 11 times in the La Liga this season.

John Oluremi William was on target for AZAL PFC Baku in their 1-1 at Khazar Lenkoran in the Azerbaijan Premier League encounter over the weekend. The 28-year old player has made 35 appearances and scored 12 goals for the Baku based outfit this season.

Brown Ideye came from the bench to score for Dynamo Kiev in their 2-1 defeat of Vorskla in the Ukrainian Premier League on Sunday. The visitors took the lead through Adis Jahovic in the 30th minute to take a 1-0 lead into the half time break. On resumption of the second, Ideye replaced Younes Belhanda in the 62nd minute and got the equaliser in the 83rd minute before Andriy Yarmolenko got the winner for Aeriy Rebrov’s side two minutes later. The strike was his third in 15 league appearances this season.

Obafemi Martins got Seattle Sounders’ winner in their 2-1 away victory versus Chivas in the Major League Soccer game played on Sunday. The ‘Weapon of Mass Destruction’s strike in 81st minute ensured his team gathered all three points after Lamar Neagle had cancelled Esetefano Torres’ curtain raiser.
