A Nigerian man has accused the EFCC of running a fraudulent car auction, alleging it was an inside job after a suspicious bid of N350 billion was reportedly placed for a Lexus RX 350 Jeep on the commission’s website.

In a post shared on X (formerly Twitter), the man claimed that an unidentified individual made the staggering bid and criticized the EFCC for conducting what he described as a rigged auction.

Expressing his frustration, he wrote: “The auction conducted yesterday was a complete sham! The incompetent auctioneers you hired allowed a bid of N350 billion for a Lexus RX 350 Jeep. This isn’t a glitch—it’s a deliberate attempt to block legitimate bidders.”

He alleged that the EFCC’s actions were intentional and designed to manipulate the auction in favor of certain insiders.

“The outrageous bid is a calculated scheme to eliminate genuine buyers. The highest bidder (N350 billion) won’t pay, and then the auctioneers or EFCC will reach out to the second-highest bidder, likely an insider, to secure the deal,” he added.

As the post gained attention, others who claimed to have encountered similar issues joined the conversation, sharing their own experiences and raising concerns about the auction’s credibility.
