The Nigerian doctor who suspected and reported the Italian man who became the index case of coronavirus in the country, to the appropriate authorities, has been identified and appreciated by the Ogun State Government.
In its appreciation tweets, the Ogun State Government identified the young woman as Dr Amarachukwu Karen Allison.
According to the Ogun State Government, the singular brilliance of the young doctor who works with Lafarge Cement Company led to the early diagnosis and rapid containment of the first Covid-19 infection in Nigeria.
