An unidentified Nigerian soccer fan living in Dubai has died after watching the Golden Eaglets hold Sweden to a thrilling 3-3 draw at the Kalifa Bin Zayed Stadium in Al-Ain City.

According to eye witness reports here, the fan, whose name is yet to be confirmed from the Dubai police and hospital, died yesterday after suffering cardiac arrest after the game against Sweden in the bus conveying the Nigerian fans contingent back to Dubai.

Naijalog was informed that after the heart attack the deceased, who until his death, a businessman here, was rushed to Dubai hospital for treatment, where he had been until he passed on in the early morning of yesterday.

A close friend to the deceased said that his remains were still in the morgue of the hospital.

Efforts to reach the hospital failed as at press time and when Naijalog  tried to contact theNigerian Embassy here, we were told that the officials were not available to comment.

One source said last night that the deceased was one of the vocal supporters of the Golden Eaglets since they started their fourth chase for the FIFA U-17 World Cup here on October 19 against Mexico.

Eaglets play Iran tomorrow in a round of 16 match at the Al Ain City, the same stadium, where the deceased was last spotted supporting the three-time world champions.
