American rapper Nicki Minaj recently tweeted that Nigeria “will not be the end of her.”
This came after Minaj took to the microblogging platform X (formerly Twitter) to express her views on the National Football League’s choice of Kendrick Lamar as the headliner for the 2025 Super Bowl Halftime Show in New Orleans.
Minaj argued that Lil Wayne, her mentor and the head of Young Money Records, would have been a more fitting choice due to his deep ties to New Orleans and his influence on hip hop.
In response to criticism, Nicki Minaj went on a spirited rant, adopting a Nigerian tone in her remarks.
She playfully responded to the feedback, quoting Ayra Starr’s popular line from the song ‘Comma’: “Sabi Girl no dey too like talk,” showing her connection to Nigerian culture.
“LMFAOOOO. Nigeria will not end me o! Sabi girl no Dey too like talk. My words take the express elevator to the most high chi. I will show them pepper,” Minaj tweeted.
