The latest FIFA ranking shows that Nigeria has moved 2 places up, from number 60 in June to 58 in July.
Former world champions, Brazil, have dropped out of the top ten and now occupy the 11th position. Euro 2012 finalists Italy, have risen six places to sixth, while their conquerors have cemented their place at the top of the standings.

Cote d’ Ivoire, however is the only African country that makes the top 20. Ghana (33rd), Algeria (35th), Libya (39th) and Mali (40th), make up the continent’s top five. Nigeria is 58th in the world and 10th in the Africa.
