Afrobeats superstar David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has expressed concerns about Nigeria’s lack of progress, attributing it to ineffective leadership.
Speaking on the Elevate Africa Convos podcast, Davido emphasized the country’s untapped potential and the importance of good governance for development.
“I tell people, if you can survive in Nigeria, you can survive anywhere,” Davido said. “I just feel the only thing missing is the right leaders to guide us. Once we get that right, I believe there’s nothing that can stop us.”
The singer recently stirred debate after cautioning Americans against relocating to Africa, particularly Nigeria, citing economic instability during a podcast interview.
In another conversation on The Morning Hustle podcast, Davido highlighted Nigeria’s struggles with establishing true democracy, further underscoring the leadership challenges he believes hinder the nation’s progress.
