US rapper Nicki Minaj has filed a lawsuit against Nigerian social media influencer Dr Penking over allegations of cyberbullying and copyright infringement.
The controversy began after the influencer shared an old video of the rapper on the social media platform X on Saturday. In the post, he attached a caption suggesting that the rapper had grown old and should retire.
Responding to the post, Minaj questioned whether he had obtained permission to use the video and accused him of using it to harass her online.
She then revealed that he had been included in her legal action.
She wrote: “Do you have permission to use this video that I filmed years ago to harras me on this or any platform? You’ve just been added to the suit,”.
