The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has officially named German tactician Bruno Labbadia as the new head coach of the Super Eagles, effective immediately.
The announcement was made in a Tuesday morning post on the NFF’s X account, formerly known as Twitter, under the hashtag #thenff.
The statement read, “The Nigeria Football Federation has confirmed an agreement with German tactician, Bruno Labbadia, to take over as Head Coach of Nigeria’s senior men’s national team, the Super Eagles.”
The NFF’s General Secretary, Dr. Mohammed Sanusi, added that the Executive Committee has approved the recommendation from its Technical and Development sub-committee to appoint Labbadia as the Super Eagles’ Head Coach.
Labbadia now steps in as the 37th head coach of the Super Eagles, following the resignation of former coach Finidi George.
