Netflix has addressed rumors about its alleged exit from the Nigerian market, firmly denying the claims.
Reports had circulated suggesting that the streaming giant was leaving Nigeria due to economic challenges and regulatory pressures. However, in a statement shared with TechCabal, Netflix reassured users of its continued commitment to the country.
“We are not exiting Nigeria. We will continue to invest in the country’s stories to delight our members,” the company stated, dismissing the speculation.
Since its entry into the Nigerian market in 2016, Netflix has played a significant role in bringing local content to a global audience, elevating Nigerian storytelling on an international scale.
