The National Grid has experienced another collapse, marking the 12th occurrence in 2024.
This was confirmed by the Nigerian National Grid in a post shared on its official handle on X (formerly Twitter) on Wednesday.
Nigerians have expressed frustration and criticism over the frequent grid failures, urging authorities to implement a lasting solution to the problem.
Since the beginning of 2024, the grid has failed 11 times, including three collapses within a single week in October, which led to widespread blackouts.
“The grid has suffered a major setback, and restoration efforts are set to commence,” the statement read.
