Napoli may face legal action from Victor Osimhen after the Serie A team uploaded a ‘inappropriate’ video to their official TikTok account, which has since been deleted.
Osimhen’s representative Roberto Calenda issued a formal statement regarding the event on Tuesday night.
“What happened today on Napoli’s official profile on the TikTok platform is not acceptable,” he tweeted. “A severe fact that causes extremely serious damage to the player and adds to the abuse that the boy is receiving in the recent period between media trials and fake news,” the statement reads. “A video insulting Victor was initially made public and subsequently, but now belatedly, erased.
“We reserve the right to take legal action and any helpful initiative to protect Victor,” continued Calenda.
Fabrizio Romano claims that Napoli posted a video of Osimhen’s missed penalty from their match against Bologna with a voiceover that was sped up before quickly removing it.
Below is a video of that clip.

On Sunday, Osimhen reacted angrily to being substituted with four minutes left in their goalless draw with Bologna.
In reality, the 24-year-old Nigerian striker was recorded on camera expressing his annoyance with manager Rudi Garcia after missing the aforementioned penalty in the 72nd minute.
Garcia, the Napoli manager, was optimistic despite the outcome and Osimhen’s behavior. The performance was strong, particularly in the first half, he said, adding that the outcome was the only disappointing aspect.
Though some of our techniques were successful, we weren’t completely satisfied because we didn’t achieve victory.
Even the best players in football history have missed penalties, the Frenchman continued. We spoke about when he (Osimhen) went off, and I told my guys that anything I say to them stays in the locker room.
Osimhen has not yet agreed to a new deal with Napoli, and rumors about his future in Naples are still rampant.
