The Tin-Can Command of the Nigeria Customs Service generated N69.1bn revenue in the third quarter of this year.
The controller in charge of the command, Comptroller Zakari Jibrin, made the disclosure in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria on Friday in Lagos.
He said the 2014 third quarter revenue was higher than the corresponding period last year, when N67.4bn was generated.
Jibrin said the NCS realised N23.4bn in July; N21.1bn in August and N24.5bn in September.
The details, made available to NAN, showed that revenue collected under the Federation Account for the quarter was N42.912bn while Non-Federation Account amounted to N12.20bn.
The federation account is made up of import and excise duties and other fees.
The other levies, including the Comprehensive Import Supervision Scheme, among others, are captured under the non-federation account.
