The Muslim community is in mourning following the passing of Alhaji Muyideen Bello, a highly revered Islamic scholar.
Born in 1940 in Ibadan, Alhaji Bello was deeply respected for his extensive teachings and lifelong commitment to Islamic knowledge and guidance.
The news of his death was announced on Friday morning by another renowned Islamic scholar, Alfa Aribidesi of At-Tawdeeh Islamic Da’awah.
Confirming the loss, Alhaji Basit Olarenwaju, popularly known as Aponle Anabi, a close follower of the late scholar and an Islamic singer, shared an image of the 84-year-old cleric on his official Facebook page, accompanied by tearful emojis.
Although details surrounding his death remain unknown, Alhaji Bello’s passing signifies the end of an era for a man whose wisdom, leadership, and spiritual teachings impacted countless lives over the decades.
Local media outlets in Oyo State have also reported on the death of the distinguished scholar.
