Multiple Bomb Blasts Hit Kano, 24 Hours Curfew Imposed

Reports coming in from Kano say that authorities there have imposed a 24 hours curfew on the state after multiple bomb explosions went off earlier this evening.

Although details of the blasts are still sketchy, it is sure that the perpetrators of the act, the renegade Islamic sect Boko Haram, targeted police/ paramilitary installations across the state.
 

Some twenty bombs reportedly exploded in Kano targeting the home of the IGP, Police Zonal headquarters and several homes. Government facilities affected include:  Immigrations office at Farm Centre , SSS headquarters along Sardauna Crescent and  headquarters of the State Police Command in Bompai
There have also been reports of an explosion at a motor park along New Road in Sabon Gari area and at another Police station at Yar’akwa along Zaria road.
Meanwhile, eyewitnesses said that one of the attackers that carried out the bombing on The SSS headquerters was killed and  the second man was arrested. 
However, authorities are still trying to collate the casualty figures.
