Media personality Dorcas Shola Fapson, also known as Ms DSF, has dismissed her recent comments about Toke Makinwa’s rumored marriage to longtime partner Farouk Umar.
Over the weekend, speculation arose that Makinwa and Umar had secretly wed after photos from an event described as a “Thanksgiving” ceremony went viral.
Ms DSF initially fueled the rumors by dropping hints on social media, suggesting the couple had tied the knot. However, in a video shared on her social media page, she clarified that her remarks were made in jest.
“Bloggers, relax, I was just joking. They’re not getting married. Toke was only doing a Thanksgiving for her birthday,” she explained.
Ms DSF humorously criticized the media for quickly spreading the rumors, captioning her video with, “I joke too much, and bloggers jump on it too fast.”
It’s worth noting that Toke Makinwa, who was married to businessman Maje Ayida from 2014 until their divorce in 2017, has not commented on the recent rumors.
The event, now confirmed as a birthday Thanksgiving, sparked widespread speculation before Ms DSF’s clarification.
