Nigerian artist Peter Okoye, popularly known as Mr P from the iconic duo P-Square, has spoken candidly about his separation from his twin brother and music partner, Paul Okoye (Rudeboy).
In a recent interview with Cool FM, Lagos, Mr P expressed the satisfaction he finds in pursuing a solo career and called on fans to respect their individual choices. He admitted that while they had made efforts to stay together as a group, things simply weren’t working out.
“There’s a certain joy that comes with being on your own. We’ve tried to make it work, but it just didn’t. Please respect our decision,” he said.
This comes after Paul confirmed in August last year that the group had parted ways again. P-Square initially disbanded in 2016, reunited in 2021, but have since gone their separate ways once more.
