Nollywood actor John Okafor, popularly known as Mr Ibu, is reportedly facing serious health issues, struggling with speech difficulties just a month after undergoing a leg amputation. Recent reports suggest that Mr Ibu has undergone another surgery, involving the removal of a portion of the same leg that was amputated earlier. The actor’s health decline is causing growing concern, especially considering the deteriorating condition of fellow veteran actor Amaechi Muonagor, who has been hospitalized for over two months at Nnamdi Azikwe University Teaching Hospital in Nnewi, Anambra State. Dr. Emeka Rollas, the National President of the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN), provided updates on the health of these ailing actors during a telephone conversation with Vanguard.
“We are resigning to fate concerning the two actors. As I speak with you, Mr Ibu hardly talks again and he has undergone another leg amputation,” he said.
