Nigerian singer and entrepreneur Mr Eazi is celebrating a significant milestone as his co-founded financial company, PawaPay, surpasses one billion transactions.
The record executive shared the exciting news on the microblogging platform X, expressing his pride in being part of the founding team and investors behind the company. He highlighted that PawaPay has become the fastest in history to reach this milestone, achieving it in just three and a half years.
For context, Mr Eazi noted that PayPal took five years to reach the same mark, while Stripe achieved it in seven years.
His words: “Proud to be part of the founding team and investors in http://pawapay.io today we became the fastest private payments company in history to reach 1bn transactions (3.5 years ). It took PayPal 5 years. Stripe 7 years.”
