Mississippi news anchor Celeste Wilson has sadly passed away at the age of 42, with tributes flooding in from fans and colleagues across the media industry.
According to US Weekly, Wilson died from a heart attack, a report later confirmed by 16 WAPT.
Celeste had only recently joined 16 WAPT as a weekend anchor.
Her journalism journey began at a CBS affiliate in Monroe, Louisiana, shortly after completing her bachelor’s degree at Northwestern State University and a master’s degree in journalism from Arizona State University.
Throughout her career, she worked with several local stations, including KNOE 8 News in Monroe, Louisiana, and KARK 4 News in Little Rock, Arkansas.
