The clip, which recently went viral, sparked renewed speculation about the actress’s noticeable weight loss, leading fans to express concern.
In the video, Mercy Johnson disclosed that she underwent surgery to remove her thyroid after a cancer scare and now relies on lifelong medication. However, she has since addressed the video’s content, clarifying that it was misleading due to selective editing.
The mother of four explained that the health scare was specifically related to a swelling in her neck and reassured fans that she is currently in a stable condition.
“Thank you so much for all your calls and messages. The clip was cut. When I said I had a cancer scare, I meant there was a swelling on my neck,” she explained.
