American rapper Megan Thee Stallion has been granted a five-year restraining order against fellow rapper Tory Lanez, who is currently serving a 10-year prison sentence.
Lanez was convicted in 2023 for shooting Megan in the feet following a party at Kylie Jenner’s house in 2020.
Megan testified remotely via video during a court hearing in Los Angeles on January 10, 2025, regarding her request for the restraining order.
The “Hot Girl Summer” artist expressed fears for her safety, stating, “I feel like maybe he [Tory Lanez] will shoot me again, and maybe this time I won’t make it.”
The court approved a five-year civil harassment restraining order against Lanez.
According to Rolling Stone senior reporter Nancy Dillon, Lanez’s lawyer confirmed that he has “no desire to communicate with the petitioner [Megan] ever again.”
