Megan Thee Stallion has reportedly been hospitalised after falling ill during a recent performance.
The 31-year-old artiste was said to have become seriously unwell while performing in Moulin Rouge! The Musical on Broadway on Tuesday, March 31, prompting her immediate transfer to a hospital for medical attention.
She is currently undergoing evaluation, with her hairstylist, Kellon Deryck, taking to social media to request prayers for her recovery.
“Everyone say a prayer for Megan, we are all at the hospital,”
A representative for the singer also confirmed the incident, stating:
“During Tuesday night’s production, Megan started feeling very ill and was promptly transported to a local hospital, where her symptoms are currently being evaluated.”
Further updates from her team, shared via TMZ, added:
“We will share additional updates as more information becomes available.”
Megan recently made her Broadway debut in Moulin Rouge! The Musical, where she plays the role of The Zidler at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre in New York.
Reports from attendees suggest that she initially appeared fine on stage before the show was unexpectedly halted, after which she did not return.
She is scheduled to continue her run in the production until May 17, although it remains unclear how this incident may affect her upcoming performances.
