Editor’s Note: It is arguably the oldest profession and they are the oldest professionals on earth today plying the trade. Meet the duo of the oldest prostitutes who still practice prostitution. Video attached.
Identical twin sisters Louise and Martine Fokken, who have worked Amsterdam’s Red Light District for more than 50 years and this summer a documentary about the lives of 69-year-old prostitute twin sisters will debut at New York’s Film Forum festival this summer.
The trailer of the documentary released on Wednesday sees the duo describing how they started what is considered a dirty job many in the sixties.
Lousie and Martine both have a decade of experience between them.
In the trailer a scene shows Martine preparing for a day’s job . She is seen calling out to her a fictitious client saying : ‘I’m almost there… Did you hear me?’
An anonymous voice replies: ‘Yes mistress,’ to which she responds: ‘Good Boy.’
The sisters can also be seen browsing a display of vibrators together in a sex shop, discussing the quality of the products on offer, and how they might use them.
Lousie retired two years ago due to old age related arthritis.
The documentary, which will go on general release in the U.S. this autumn, also relates a more serious story: how the Fokkens sisters freed themselves from the control of their pimps, ran their own brothel, and set up the first informal trade union for prostitutes.
