Abby Catt , a resident of Texas, USA who is presently in her twenties was just 18 years old when she went on a Bank heist along with her father Scott Catt accompanied by her brother Hayden Catt who was 20 years in August 2012.

According to Abby, her father used to enter each Bank with pellet guns and wearing disguise while she used to wait outside in the gateway car.

In an interview to a local newspaper, Abby said, “I was scared. It was just something you just want it to be over with. My dad would yell at me to not drive fast so I didn’t .”

The Catt family got away with as much as $50,000 from the Comerica Bank in Katy, Texas in their first Bank heist and by their second robbery at the First Community Union Credit Union in Katy, Texas in 2012 they has stolen almost $108,000 together.

Later police were able to identify them by the construction worker vests Scott ordered his children to buy for disguises and on November 9, 2012 they were all arrested.

Scott was sentenced to 24 years in a Texas prison and Hayden was given a sentence of 10 years while Abby received a sentence of 5 years. Abby used her prison time wisely by studying and learned sewing.

Upon her release in September, she was able to get a job in a local restaurant. “I am doing wonderful this Christmas season. I have a better life, a whole new life. I’ve been very blessed, ” she said. Abby’s story is another example that crime makes one pay she is an inspiration to hundreds of thousands of people all around the world that it is possible to break the shackles of crime and lead a honest life.”
