Priscilla Sitienei, midwife, has enrolled in primary school for the first time in her life – at the age of 90.
Her head teacher in Kenya’s Rift Valley believes she is the oldest pupil in the world.
Affectionately known as “Gogo”, the grandma who has over 65-year experience is determined to learn how to read and write and attends every class, including, dance, English and PE in the same uniform as the rest of her classmates.
She said she wants to be able to read the Bible, pass on her midwifery skills and write down the herbal remedies she uses in births, she said when asked what made her go back to school.
