In the early hours of Sunday, vehicular and human movements were paralyzed in Lagos as the chairman of the Lagos State Parks and Garages Management Committee, Musiliu Akinsanya, popularly known as MC Oluomo, led different groups on a 5-million man walk in support of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Presidential Candidate, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, Kashim Shettima, and Lagos State Governor, Bababjide Sanwo-O
Ex-Chairman of the Lagos State Chapter of the National Union of Road Transport Workers, NURTW, MC Oluomo, sponsored the rally, which drew a large crowd to Teslim Stadium and National Stadium, Surulere.
The carnival-like rally also drew Nollywood stars, led by Saidi Balogun, who wore various colors of Tinubu and Sanwo-Olu insignia.
Residents and participants were protected and secured by armed security personnel led by Nigeria Police, the Department of State Service, the Lagos Neighborhood Safety Corps, and others.
According to MC Oluomo, the decision to hold the rally as previously planned was made after approval from APC chieftains and stakeholders in the state.
The rally, dubbed the “Mother of All Rallies,” will begin at Teslim Balogun Stadium in Surulere Local Government Area of Lagos State and will end at Bolade Oshodi in Lagos State.
“This is a mega rally, we’re shutting down Lagos for Asiwaju Tinubu and Sanwo-Olu,” MC Oluomo said.
“We are doing this to demonstrate our support, strength, and capacity for APC candidates because they are the best for the job.”
