Following the passing of well-known Nigerian artist Mohbad, Marlian music has supposedly been outlawed by MTV Base, a well-known British music station.
Naira Marley, a Nigerian singer accused of having a hand in Mohbad’s tragic demise, is the head of the record company Marlian Music.
Recall that Mohbad, a previous signee of Marlian Records, passed away on Tuesday, September 12, 2023, for unknown reasons, according to a Gistreel report.
Because of the singer’s controversial passing, some national radio stations have outlawed all of the Records Label’s music.
Ehizojie Okoeguale, aka DadaBoy Ehiz, a popular TV host and employee of the MTV music channel, announced the ban on Marlian music on Wednesday, adding his name to the growing number of music venues that have done so.
Okoeguale wrote: “MTVbase dropped everything Marlian in a post made on his X. Bravo to them.
