MANCHESTER City striker Sergio Agüero has split from his wife, the daughter of football legend Diego Maradona.
Gianinna, 23, spent Christmas in the couple’s native Argentina before moving back into their £4million mansion in Madrid.
She confirmed she and 24-year-old Agüero, nicknamed Kun, were leading separate lives.
Gianinna tweeted to a fan who urged them to give the relationship another go: “We’re separated. A difficult year is coming to an end. There’s been a lot of changes.”
Agüero, who has a three-year-old son with Gianinna, has been linked to singer Karina Tejeda, 26, but she denied the rumours.
