Following a tip-off men, of the The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) have arrested a man (names withheld) for allegedly killing his mother.
The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) yesterday apprehended a 29-year-old man who ambushed the victim on her way to a farm in Ejiu-Aiyegunle in Ekiti Local Government Area of Kwara and killed her.
The suspect claims that his mother is behind the misfortunes that had affected her children.
The man confessed that he pushed the woman who was carrying palm wine from behind and hit her with a stick twice on the head before she fell.
He told our correspondent that he had earlier gone to solicit the assistance of a cleric who had advised him to come with his mother for further prayers.
He has since been handed over to the police.
