A 23-year-old man named Sodiq Ojomo lost his life on Christmas day as he drowned in a swimming pool at an event centre at No. 3/5, Durosinmi Etti Street, Victoria Island, Lagos.
Sodiq, who works with a catering service, was at the centre with his colleagues to entertain some guests with food.
According to report, he jumped into the swimming pool against the advice of his supervisor. Some people saw this as rather spiritual that absurd, none of the guests were willing to jump in to rescue him because of their attire & the abnormality surrounding the circumstances.
His corpse was later picked up by policemen from Maroko division and deposited at a public mortuary.
