A man who packed sand a customer stepped on while buying goods in Sapele area of Delta State, was beaten to a pulp by eyewitnesses who claimed he had an ulterior motive.
The man who was identified as Sani, reportedly took a customer to a shop along New road by Lord Mansion in Sapele area to buy tiles. However after the transaction was concluded, it was gathered that man packed the sand the customer stepped his feet on and tied it in a cellophane bag.
He was spotted by an eagle-eyed resident of the area who raised an alarm. He was beaten by the mob which gathered, before he was handed over to the police.
