BETRAYAL ominous sign of times!
In a mind boggling incident, a Pumula South injiva attempted to take his life last Sunday after failing to come to terms with his young wife’s betrayal.
It is alleged that Dumisani Mpofu attempted to kill himself with an unidentified concoction, suspected to be a rat killer after discovering that his wife Mildred Dube (25) had eloped with his son Thabo (17). The alleged incident occurred last Sunday upon discovering that his home was deserted and his son’s whereabouts are still unknown.
According to the Thabo’s aunt only identified as MaMpofu, the boy eloped with his step-mother-cum-lover on realising the possible consequences of the father’s verdict on their alleged sex scandal.
MaMpofu said the reason why they eloped is that Dube was pregnant and it is suspected that her nephew is responsible for the pregnancy since she once caught them in the baby-making action.
“My brother wanted to kill himself because of the illicit affair between his wife and son. They failed to respect my brother’s bed and she is now pregnant,” she said
When the news crew visited the family at their Pumula South home, Mpofu had no kind words for his wife who had introduced his son into the adult game.
“I will never forgive my wife for what she did to my son. This is a disgrace. How can a normal person go in between sheets with her son,” he said
B-Metro reported on the story last month where a 17-year-old boy was caught bedding his step-mother by his aunt.
The family deliberated on the issue and forced the woman (Mildred Dube) to seek refuge at her brother’s place in Cowdray Park waiting for the verdict from her husband who was in South Africa.
