The 30-year-old Oscar nominee addressed reports that she’s dating fellow nominee Jared Leto in an interview with Ellen DeGeneres on Friday.
During the interview session, the Yale University graduate didn’t shy away from the topic of her love life.
The talk show host inquired about reports she has been seeing Leto by saying, ‘But now, so you’re actually in tabloids which means you’ve really made it. Because there’s rumors that you and Jared Leto are together.’
Jokingly, she replied ‘Ah, but I thought Miley Cyrus broke us up,’. ‘That was the last thing I heard.’
In keeping with the witty repartee, a concerned Ellen returned, ‘I’m sorry. I hope you’re okay then.’
The dating rumors started after Page Six reported that the My So-Called Life hunk was dating the supporting actress nominee.
According to the report, an eagle-eyed source spotted the ‘romance blossoming’ between Leto and the actress at Manhattan’s Crosby Street Hotel.
‘They were huddled at a corner table together looking very close,’ the insider revealed.
Reports have it that after Lupita and Jared were linked, it was revealed he has actually been seeing Miley Cyrus, and had been doing so for several weeks.
‘[They] are hooking up,’ a source told UsWeekly of the pair, who have ‘known each other for a while.’
‘She stayed over at his house in L.A. in early February.’
Jared and the 21-year-old pop star were first photographed in Las Vegas last September and then again in January at a pre-Grammy Awards party.
‘They like to have a good time, they love to talk about art and music – and they’re both comfortable with nudity!’ another insider told the website of the duo, who’ve both posed for photographer Terry Richardson.
While Lupita is getting used to being the fodder of gossip, she opened up to Ellen about how it’s hard even for her to decipher what is actually true about herself.
‘But you know it’s crazy ’cause when I read these rumors they’re so detailed that even I start to question whether they’re true or not,’ she joked/
‘Ya and I know I’ve believed them in the past and now I guess I can’t believe anything.’
