Croatia captain Luka Modric became the second most capped player in European history on Sunday.
The veteran Real Madrid midfielder reached this milestone by leading Croatia to a 1-0 victory over Poland in the Nations League at Opus Arena.
The former Tottenham Hotspur star scored the match-winning goal with a second-half free kick.
Following the game, the 39-year-old now boasts 180 appearances and 27 goals for his national team.
Modric is second only to Cristiano Ronaldo, who holds the record with 213 appearances for Portugal. Ronaldo, currently playing for Saudi club Al Nassr, remains the most capped player in European history.
