Liverpool are ready to sign Arsenal ace Chuba Akpom with the young striker currently stalling on signing a new contract at the Emirates, UK’s Metro reports.
Akpom, 19, who is rated as one of Arsenal’s most exciting talents, is in the final year of his deal with the Gunners – and is keeping his options open.
Arsenal have put fresh terms in front of him, but despite being promoted to the first-team and playing four games already, he could move away, with Liverpool keen.
They have joined Manchester City in the race while Borussia Dortmund and Twente have made pre-contract offers to get him in the summer. Akpom is a prolific scorer for Arsenal’s youth teams and is famed for his power and pace.
