LeBron James has revealed uncertainty about his playing future following the end of his 22nd NBA season, which concluded with the Los Angeles Lakers being eliminated in the first round of the playoffs.
Speaking after the Lakers’ 103-96 loss to the Minnesota Timberwolves, the 40-year-old star—who posted 22 points, seven rebounds, and six assists—declined to offer any indication of what comes next in his career.
“I don’t have the answer to that,” James said when asked how much longer he plans to continue playing.
He explained that he intends to reflect on the decision with his wife and inner circle: “It’s something I’ll sit down with my wife and my support group to talk about, and we’ll see what happens. I’ll also have some honest conversations with myself about how long I want to keep going. Right now, I just don’t know.”
James’ comments have left Lakers fans in suspense, as the NBA’s all-time leading scorer remains undecided about his future.
“It’s really up to me—whether I continue playing and for how long,” he concluded.
