Hot on the heels of news that Disney acquired Lucasfilm and, with it, the “Star Wars” franchise, the first posters for “Star Wars Episode 7” have leaked online. Click on the image above to see one of them in full.
Of course, the whole thing is just a hoax orchestrated by none other than Conan O’Brien and his Team Coco.
On his website, Coco announces the leak of the posters, and even posts some of them as an “exclusive.”
In reality, the photos are combinations of “Star Wars” old posters with famous Disney characters, but the result is totally amazing – and hilarious too.
As I also noted the other day, Disney announced “Episode 7” for a 2015 release but, for the time being, that’s all that fans have to go on. Speculation on possible cast and potential directions is already picking up.
George Lucas, sole former owner of Lucasfilm, has revealed plans to donate most of the $4.05 billion (€3.12 billion) he got from Disney to charity. Admirable doesn’t even begin to describe his gesture.
