On April 27, 2023, a security guard at the school named David James is accused of defiling the student while pretending to clean her up.

The 23-year-old suspect was detained, charged with one count of sexual assault before Mrs. B.O. Osunsanmi of Magistrate’s Court 1, Ogba, and then remanded.

Mr. and Mrs. Olusola, the student’s parents, requested that the state government close the school on May 25, 2023.

Concerned individuals carrying signs, including relatives, family members, and representatives of non-governmental organizations, stormed the school to demand closure of the institution and justice for the child.

The victim’s father, Mr. Olusola, expressed his appreciation for the new development, stating, “This indicates that the Lagos State Government is engaged and ready to take appropriate action. The fact that justice will be done makes us glad.

The current legal dispute, according to Mr. Olusola, will pick back up on September 4, 2023.
