Fulham striker Konstantinos Mitroglou has kept his place in the final 23-man squad for the World Cup after Greece cut their provisional 30-man squad to 23. The striker who joined Fulham in January did not live up to expectation as he struggles with life in the premiership due to injury and pace of the EPL.
The £11m striker was instrumental in Greece qualification for the tournament as he scored 3 goals over the play-off against Romania. Major players missing in the squad are Olympiacos Avraan Papadopoulos(injury) while Dimitris Papadopoulos, Nikos Karelis and Stefano Athanasiadis misses out. The coach of Greece Fernando Santos will step down after the tournament in Brazil.
